On the same street

A colour salon on Wheatsheaf Lane

Priya opened Mane Studio in 2014 with two chairs, one colourist and a waiting list built entirely from people stopping friends in the street to ask who did their hair.

Four stylists later the plan has not changed: take the time colour actually needs, say no to the appointment that will not work, and price it before anyone sits down.

The people behind the chair

Priya Raman — colour director

Balayage, colour correction and anything that needs a plan before it needs a brush. Twelve years behind the chair, the last eight of them here. Ask her about grow-out.

Joel Whitcombe — senior stylist

Precision cutting: bobs, fringes and long layers. The one to see if you want to spend less time with a hairdryer, not more.

Nina Bergström — colour specialist

Tonal colour and gloss refreshes, and blondes that stay on the cool side of beige. Nina takes most of the studio’s correction work.

Marco Adeyemi — stylist & treatments

Curls cut dry, scalp and bond treatments, and every bridal trial in the diary. Sunday mornings are his.

Booked by name, priced by the service

Book the stylist whose work you like, at the price on the list, at a time that is actually free. That is the whole idea, and it is why the diary runs twelve weeks deep.
